The PFA, backed by FIFPro and public donations, has proudly supported the Afghanistan Women's National Team players who have settled in Australia.
Providing a range of support programs and services, including:
- Wellbeing support through the MindRoom, the PFA confidential counselling program
- Education grants of $1500 to assist the players in their personal and professional development
- Special Afghanistan Women's Team grants, allowing them to apply for their driver's licence, car insurance and gym membership
- Career counselling and advice
- English lessons
- Education workshops
- Tax and financial advice
- Resume and job readiness support
The PFA is honoured to support these extraordinary women, who have shown enormous courage in pursuing their football passion, acting as role models, and providing a voice for those whose rights as women have been stripped away.
